These are some of the services offered by Blaina Medical Practice.

Antenatal & Postnatal Care

The community midwife holds clinics regularly at the surgery to provide Antenatal and Postnatal care.

Cervical Smears

A recall system is currently available in Gwent. This recalls ladies every 3 years. The practice nurse will carry out most routine smears.

Child Health

The doctor and health visitors run child health surveillance clinics giving support and advice as well as immunisations and routine medical examinations to our under 5's.

Contraceptive Services

Full contraceptive services are offered during surgery hours. The doctors are happy to give general advice on contraception but we offere a dedicated Family Planning clinic run by our Practice Nurse.
